Who can Subscribe?

Only news organizations may purchase Exit Poll data on Election Day. One week after the election, the Exit Poll cross-tabs are available to anyone interested in purchasing them. Customers in the past including Academic and/or Non-profit organizations, Commercial or Political Organizations (including political parties) polling firms, consultants, news media, and corporations.

How much does it cost?

Subscription rates are based upon the type and size of your organization, as well as your Designated Market Area. Packages range from $1,000 to $26,000 for local, regional, national and international subscriptions.

What if I only need the data after Election Day?

Bona fide news organizations may choose to purchase the Exit Poll data on a "delayed" basis. The data is available the morning after Election Day and may not be broadcast, published, or distributed until 2 days after.

One week after the election, the Exit Poll data is available for purchase by non-news organizations including Academic and/or Non-profit organizations, Commercial or Political Organizations (including political parties) polling firms, consultants, news media, and corporations.

In 2009, Edison/Mitofsky will archive the datasets (Primary and General) with The Roper Center and the ICPSR at the University of Michigan. Both organizations may provide the Exit Poll data to Members of their members. Until Edison/Mitofsky archives the data, the only way to access the information will be through purchase from Edison/Mitofsky.

Doesn't my AP Contract allow me access to the Exit Poll data?

No. The Associated Press only provides the vote count data. Edison/Mitofsky is the sole provider of Exit Poll information.

Can I receive the data from the network which owns my station?

No, all local television stations must subscribe directly with Edison/Mitofsky.

How do I receive the data on Election Day?

Edison/Mitofsky provides a secure, password protected web system that delivers your data clearly and efficiently.

Do you provide training before Election Day?

Yes, we provide Pre-Election Day subscriber training, and a tour of our web-based system to familiarize yourself with what you will be viewing on Election Day.

How do I receive help on Election Day?

Edison/Mitofsky provides full online support via a live chat option and offline subscriber support that will help during the data delivery process on Election Day.

How can I have confidence in a race that you call?

Edison/Mitofsky has never projected an incorrect winner of a race. We use a high standard of care in making sure that the information and analysis that we provide news organizations is accurate. All surveys, including exit polls have a sampling error and Edison/Mitofsky makes certain to take that into account before advising news organizations of the winner in any race.
